I’ve BEEN a Park Ranger in Alaska, They Are Here To Kill Us

As a park ranger in Alaska, I have seen and experienced some truly terrifying encounters with nature. From vicious bear attacks to treacherous storms, this job is not for the faint of heart. But there is one experience that stands out above all the rest, one that still haunts me to this day.

It was a cold, dark night in the middle of winter. I was out on patrol, checking on the various cabins and campsites scattered throughout the park. The snow was falling heavily, blanketing the ground in a thick layer of white. The wind howled through the trees, creating an eerie, otherworldly sound.

I had just finished checking on a remote cabin when I heard it. A low, guttural growl that sent shivers down my spine. I whipped around, my flashlight beam cutting through the darkness. And that’s when I saw them.

They were tall and thin, with pale, almost translucent skin. Their eyes glowed a sickly yellow in the dark, and their mouths were filled with sharp, jagged teeth. They moved silently through the trees, their movements jerky and unnatural.

I knew in that moment that these creatures were not of this world. They were something ancient, something evil. And they were here to kill us.

I didn’t hesitate. I raised my rifle and fired, the shots echoing through the forest. The creatures screeched in pain and anger, but they didn’t stop. They kept coming, their long, spindly arms reaching for me.

I turned and ran, my heart pounding in my chest. I could hear them behind me, their footsteps quick and relentless. I knew I was no match for them, but I had to try. I had to warn the others, to protect them from this unknown threat.

I finally made it back to the ranger station, gasping for breath. I burst through the door, my hands shaking as I tried to explain what I had seen. But no one believed me. They thought I was crazy, that the isolation and harsh conditions had finally gotten to me.

But I know the truth. I know what I saw that night, and I know that those creatures are still out there, waiting in the shadows, biding their time. And I also know that they are here to kill us.

So now, every time I patrol the park, I keep a close watch on the trees and the shadows. I know that they could strike at any moment, and I know that I must be ready. Because as long as I am a park ranger in Alaska, I will do everything in my power to protect those under my care from the evil that lurks in the wilderness.
