Today (Friday): Gray, wet, very humid, and a little breezy. Waves of showers, thunderstorms, and downpours (especially midday into afternoon) are possible. Late afternoon high temperatures top out within a few degrees of 80. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Showers and storms linger but, slowly, their intensity and coverage area dwindle. Temperatures hover, at their lowest, around 70 to mid-70s. Rains should total at least a half inch around town. Northwest of town is likely driest, with southeast of town having the best chance of seeing the most rain and perhaps patchy flooding. Maybe some patchy fog late. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Saturday): While it’s hard to eliminate clouds and rain chances with high confidence, morning hours look grayer and damper than afternoon hours. East of the city continues to have highest chances for rain, and lasting longest, compared to western counties which may largely stay drier than not. Humidity hovers near sultry levels creating heat index values as steamy as upper 90s despite the thermometer topping out in the upper 80s to low 90s. Confidence: Medium
Tomorrow night: Ever-so-slight rain chances continue to retreat further. Skies are probably partly clear more often than not and almost all of us can begin drying out. Temperatures settle in the upper 60s to mid-70s. It’s very humid, still. Confidence: Medium
Sunday: Heat is back with high temperatures climbing at least into the mid-90s. Dew points have a chance to sink below 70 degrees, giving us a slight humidity reprieve. Still, issuance of a heat advisory is still possible. We have about a 20 percent chance of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm. Confidence: Medium
A look ahead
Sunday night: Showers, storms, and downpours remain slightly possible toward midnight. Temperatures should bottom out in the low-to-mid 70s. Confidence: Medium
Mid-90s to around 100 degrees Monday and Tuesday may fall just short of feeling like 110 degrees (excessive heat warning criteria) if humidity behaves itself. As it looks now, it may very well be uncomfortable but not oppressive. Heat advisories are likely–given very high temperatures alone–combining with still-noticeable humidity (dew points near but perhaps not constantly above 70).
Thunderstorms usually love this type of air mass and may be most prone to developing in the afternoon and evening hours, with some rumbles possible into overnight hours. Confidence: Medium
