Winning lottery ticket hits Powerball jackpot in Ohio for July 3

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio — We have a big winner as one lucky Powerball ticket sold in Ohio has hit the jackpot worth $139.3 million in the latest lottery drawing for Wednesday, July 3, 2024.
Ohio Lottery officials say the winning ticket was sold at a Walmart store in Huber Heights, which is located just north of the Dayton area. The jackpot-winning ticket was an auto-pick, according to lottery officials.
The winning numbers were 2, 26, 33, 55, 57 and Powerball 22. The Power Play option was 2x.

- $139.3 million prize: 1 winner
- $200 prize: 8 winners
- $100 prize: 15 winners
- $14 prize: 314 winners
- $8 prize: 3,490 winners
- $7 prize: 529 winners
- $4 prize: 6,416 winners
Powerball officials say there were also winning tickets worth $1 million sold in California and Pennsylvania.
The jackpot now resets to $20 million for the next Powerball drawing, which is set for Saturday, July 6, at 10:59 p.m. That prize has a cash option worth $9.5 million.
Powerball lottery officials say the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 292,201,338, which is slightly better than the Mega Millions odds of one in 302,575,350. The odds of hitting a $1 million winning ticket in Powerball, meanwhile, are one in 11,688,053.52.
Northeast Ohio had a big Powerball winner last year as one lucky ticket sold at a GetGo in Macedonia hit the jackpot worth $252.6 million during the April 19 drawing.
