All of Interstate 40 shut down in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Police are responding to two incidents that is shutting down Interstate 40 and is causing backups in both directions in Albuquerque.
Eastbound I-40 is closed at Carlisle, while westbound I-40 is closed at San Mateo and Rio Grande.
Albuquerque police say a man was hanging from the bridge at Coors and I-40 and was trying to work himself down.
Backups in the eastbound lanes are extending back to 12th St. On the westbound side, backups are extending to near Eubank Boulevard.
