Remember Those Summer Nights

Spread the love

“Remember Those Summer Nights” is a nostalgic tribute to the unforgettable times of the ’70s and ’80s. With roots in the legendary sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Elvis Presley, and Johnny Cash, my music captures the essence of those iconic eras.

This song is a celebration of the women, the adventures, and the vibrant spirit of those summers. My ability to grab a microphone and spontaneously create lyrics is a gift I cherish, even though I often wonder how I do it. Making up songs has always been a passion of mine, and this particular track holds a special place in my heart.

When our drummer passed away, he made me promise to share my talents with the world. Despite struggling with self-doubt, I’m learning to embrace my music and let it flourish. I remember the words Eddie Van Halen shared with me when he visited my high school before he was famous: “Just be yourself, Roy. Who cares? One day they love you, the next day they hate you. Enjoy the ride, even if it’s bumpy. It’s like asking a girl out—if she says no, so what? Ask another. You will find her.”

“Remember Those Summer Nights” is more than just a song; it’s a journey back to a time of pure, unfiltered joy and a testament to the enduring power of music.
